NOTORIOUS, Michele's latest Melanie Vargas thriller, is coming out in paperback. Buy it here, or win a free copy by clicking this link and e-mailing Michele with the answer to the question, "Who is the One True Bond?" Correct answers will be placed in a cute sun hat from which the winning entry will be drawn. (HINT: It ain't the blond guy.)
For more Melanie Vargas along with other thrilling and suspenseful crime tales, get ready for the fabulous anthology THE PROSECUTION RESTS, out in April and edited by the even more fabulous Linda Fairstein. Pre-order your copy here.
What do you mean, "it ain't the blond guy"?! This contest is rigged.
If not for the fact that Melanie Vargas is a kick-ass heroine and I like her a lot, I'd be very peevish about this.

Come on Harley, we all know it ain't the blond guy, although in the last bond, every muscle was well defined.

I'm not answering the question, in the interest of keeping the peace, but I will send all interested parties to this link:

Damn, he's fine. Sigh.
Michele, I'm on an austerity program right now, but your book is one I will buy. We have to support the Tarts, after all.

I you haven't read this book by Michele yet, don't wait to win, go buy it right now.
It's her best yet, and that's saying something.

I don't suppose "Sean Connery" would be accepted, even though it is the one true answer.
Thanks so much, Michele, for linking to Mystery Lovers!
Cannot wait for the anthology and I'm getting the paperback for the beach. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure, Notorious is Melanie's hottest book yet!

And coming from Jon Jordan and Kathy Sweeney, who read so much it's hard to imagine how they do anything else in life, that is serious praise.

Me, too! Me, too! Best outing of Melanie yet!

Thanks for the kind words, guys!
Sad to say, nobody got the correct answer, so in lieu of, I've decided to accept "Sean Connery" as correct. Of all the men to actually play Bond in a movie, Connery was no doubt the truest. But life is not always fair or just, and sadly, the truest Bond has not yet made it to the silver screen. Some of us continue to hope. . .
All the "Connery" entries went into the sun hat, and the winner is . . .(envelope please) Peg H! Peg, I imagine you are clad in a Versace gown and Lorraine Schwartz jewels waiting to accept your award. It's coming your way as soon as you send me your address.
(The one true Bond is . . . Clive Owen, of course!)

Yippee!
(Ah, if only I owned such a gown.)
I want to thank the academy....
I'm ready for my close-up now, Mr. Demille.

It is curious to learn these things about the sun, every day we learn more about this sort of thing, and I think it is good that we open our understanding so that each day we are less ignorant.
